Having healthy eyes and taking steps to maintain good eyesight as you age can help you ensure a higher quality of life for yourself in the future. Eye screening is an important step in this process. Watch this video for reasons why it’s vital to visit an ophthalmologist serving Hoffman Estates.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends that all adults, whether or not they have any risk factors or symptoms of eye disease such as keratoconus, receive a complete eye examination and baseline screening at age 40. This allows your ophthalmologist to spot early signs of eye diseases, such as symptoms of cataracts and keratoconus, and schedule any necessary follow-up examinations or treatments.
