Senad Osmanovic, M.D.
Dr. Senad Osmanovic completed his surgical retina fellowship training at University of California Davis in Sacramento, CA. He is a specialist in retinal diseases of the eye and retinal surgery, and sees patients with a variety of retinal disorders, including age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachments.
Dr. Osmanovic was raised in Oak Park, IL and attended the University of Chicago for his undergraduate education. He obtained his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he received several achievement awards. During his residency, Dr. Osmanovic also traveled to Tokyo, Japan and Brazil to spend time at ophthalmology hospitals.
Dr. Osmanovic has been involved in clinical trials investigating treatments for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and other retinal disorders, for which he has given talks at international conferences. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and he has authored several book chapters. Dr. Osmanovic is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an active member of multiple professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and cycling.
