Specializing in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery, ophthalmologist Dr. John Pak, M.D. is one of few eye doctors in Chicago whose practice caters specifically to plastic surgery for the eyebrows, eyelids, and periorbital areas. Providing eye care in Hoffman Estates, Dr. Pak is an ophthalmologist trained in reconstructive and functional oculoplastic surgery to treat conditions such as blepharitis and eyelid malposition. Additionally, he has published original chapters and reports in leading medical journals on the topics of reconstruction of the eyelids and oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Pak is the recipient of several national honors and research awards, and has instructed and lectured at numerous institutions. He has been an instructor at surgical seminars, teaching other physicians advanced techniques in plastic surgery. Dr. Pak received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency and, later, an American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery-sponsored fellowship in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.
